本文在初步调查分析了棕榈科植物在我国的自然分布、引种驯化情况以及该类植物在厦门地区栽培应用状况的基础上，首次采用rapd分子标记技术，对厦门万石植物园引种的一些棕榈科植物的遗传多样性进行了研究，根据pcr对基因组dna扩增的结果，用nei ' s相似性系数计算了不同植物间的遗传距离和遗传一致度，通过对遗传距离的upgma聚类分析，并结合形态分类的特点，对棕榈科植物的属、种间的系统分类关系和一些疑难种的分类鉴定进行了初步研究。
